Following relentless efforts by Taaza TV, Howrah's Bankim Bridge has been officially declared parking-free. The initiative garnered appreciation from Howrah City Police Commissioner Praveen Tripathi, who commended Taaza TV for exposing illegal and anti-social activities on the bridge. Expressing gratitude for the media's vigilance, Commissioner Tripathi transferred the responsibility for monitoring the bridge to the Howrah Police Station and Howrah Traffic Guard, instructing them to identify and apprehend any anti-social elements engaged in unlawful activities.
The transformation of Bankim Bridge into a parking-free zone comes as a response to Taaza TV's consistent coverage highlighting the unauthorized activities taking place on the bridge. The media's watchdog role prompted commendation from law enforcement, leading to a collaborative effort between Taaza TV, Howrah City Police, Howrah Police Station, and Howrah Traffic Guard to ensure the bridge's security and prevent illegal practices.
